            Design Division

            Section A - Eligible for the Designer’s Choice Award 
                     Class 1: “Fly Me to the Moon” 
                     A  creative Type II Hanging design.  Exhibitor’s choice of fresh    

                     and/or dried plant material and components.  Dried plant

                    material may be treated. Design is to be suspended within a

                   frame  (20” wide x 30” high) supplied by the Club.  

                   The frame may be painted or finished by designer. 

                   To be staged on a table in the parlor in front of a white wall.       

                     Maximum 6 entries          
             

                    Class 2a: “Men are from Mars…” 
                    Creative Duo Design/s.  All entrants must also be entered in

                    Class 2b; both classes share the same container. Displayed on

                    a table, 24” square space allotted per design.  Exhibitor’s choice

                    of plant materials and components.  To be staged in the

                    informal dining room.

                    Limit 4 entries    

                   Class 2b: “…Women are from Venus”
                   Creative Duo Design/s.  All entrants must also be entered in

                   Class 2a; both classes share the same container.  Displayed on

                   a table, 24” square space allotted per design.  Exhibitor’s choice

                   of plant materials and components.  To be staged in the

                   informal dining room.

                   Limit 4 entries     



                  Class 3: “Mercury Rising” 
                  Freedom of style. Exhibitor’s choice of fresh and/or dried plant  

                  material and components.  Dried plant material may be treated.  

                  To be staged in the parlor on a pedestal 41” high, 11 1/2” square

                  top covered in a beige cloth.  No height requirement.

                  Limit 4 entries

            Section B - Eligible for the GCFP Special Recognition Award

            Class 4:  "You are My Sunshine”
            Freedom of style. A novice class. Open to exhibitors who have

            never received a blue ribbon in a standard flower show. 

            Exhibitor’s choice of fresh and/or dried plant material and

            components. Dried plant material may be treated. 

            To be staged on the piano in the music room, in front of a

             picture frame (16” wide by 20” high), against a black velvet

             background. (May not extend beyond the sides of the frame.

             May extend outside the top of the frame and no more than 30 inches

             in front of the frame.)

             Limit 4 entries   

            Also Eligible for the Janet Fuges Novice Class Award

            Class 5: "Saturn’s Rings”

            Freedom of style. A miniature design, not to exceed 5” in any

            dimension. Exhibitor’s choice of fresh and/or dried treated plant

            material and components. Dried plant material may be treated.

            To be staged in a niche, 8”x8”x8”, on a sideboard in the formal

            dining room.  The niche is painted white and designers are free

            to line their niche with matte board of the color of their choice.            

            Minimum 6 entries            

            Also Eligible for the Janet Fuges Miniature Class Award

                  All Design Classes are Eligible for the Janet Fuges People’s

            Choice Award
